Based on the emerging planning policies, an illustrative master plan for Cleevelands has been prepared which takes into account the results of the survey and other work that has been undertaken on behalf of Welbeck. The illustrative master plan is not yet fixed and may be the subject of change.
The proposal includes the following:
- Up to 550 homes of different sizes and types.
- About 1 hectare of employment uses including flexible units within a high street which would also include a convenience store and other smaller shop units.
- A Community Hall.
- Extensive areas of open space including sports pitches and a community orchard.
- Biodiversity areas and improvements to the existing floodplain.
- Extension to the existing allotments including an alternative access, additional parking space and potential community composting facilities.
- A network of internal footways and cycleways which would connect to existing routes close to Cleevelands.
- The main site access from the A435 with a secondary access via Little Acorns.
